Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a glider and a rocking chair?
A rocking chair moves in an arc by tilting on curved legs, requiring space front and back. A glider moves on a fixed frame in a smooth, linear motion — making it safer on small porches and more comfortable for longer sitting sessions. LuxCraft gliders also have no risk of tipping backward.

Are outdoor glider chairs comfortable without cushions?
Yes. LuxCraft glider chairs are contoured to support your back and legs naturally. The poly lumber stays cool in heat and doesn't absorb moisture, so you can sit comfortably without cushions — though cushions can be added for extra softness.

Do swivel glider chairs work on uneven surfaces?
LuxCraft swivel gliders are designed for flat, hard surfaces like decks, patios, and concrete. For uneven ground or grass, the standard glider or Adirondack glider is a better fit.
